There was a once in a lifetime event today

This is my usual view of the amazing George Washington Bridge, one of the most beautiful bridges in the world

But TODAY!! it was the setting for a once in a lifetime experiences.  The Space Shuttle Enterprise came to New York, on the back of a 747, and in addition to the Statue of Liberty, Lower Manhattan and all the landmarks downtown

the shuttle paid a visit to the George Washington Bridge and Upper Manhattan.  It flew really low over the bridge and the river.

There were a lot of people from the neighborhood out to watch as it flew north up the river and then, to our delight

It turned around and came back South even lower

It said goodbye to the bridge and went on to land at JFK.  There will be more shuttle transport when it comes up the river to the Intrepid Museum this summer, but to see it in the air over New York was truly breathtaking.

The smaller one is signed

I love the way the maker signed it.

This is the other facet of the last cuff.

The third one that I wear everyday is designed to peek out from under a long sleeved shirt, and show the turquoise

Another one

This one has a bit of a different focus, in this one the man is the shepherd and the woman is at home weaving rugs, but the country and the hogan are similar.

One of my favorite things

This storyteller cuff is one of several that I wear every day.  What I especially like about it is that the subject of the "story" is a woman sheepherder, her sheep, her house and her country

Sometimes, when you are watching wrestling

It can get a little boring if the combatants spend too much time on the mat....

But then when they start moving around the ring it can get interesting again

Even exciting

Another Takedown!!
