Tryouts, I went for really subtle

Yep, I am knitting.... actually have already knitted, a triangular shawl using Knitting Lace Triangles by Evelyn Clark It seems to be available only used in the US Amazon. Well worth it. She gives you four increasing patterns, free rein to choose whatever yarn you want, one edging that works with them all, and then turns you loose to mix and match as you desire.

I wish I knew what this yarn was. I will have to trudge backward thru my emails to see if I can figure it out. I have a HUGE spool of it and though it is not the softest stuff in the world it is natural and softened up nicely in the bath. It is probably closer to Sport or DK weight than to Lace, but I decided I needed to use it and off I went. Three patterns later I decided to add beads...another option ... on the edges. Just 3 per scallop and nothing with big bling, I went with the pink ones above. You can barely see them, but they add a tiny bit of sparkle.

The shawl is on the blocking wires, pictures to follow when it is dry ... sometime in this century we all should hope. Romeo was especially helpful with the wires during blocking.
